According to The Hollywood Reporter, the same scenes where Rose poses nude for Jack to draw her were censored in China during Titanic’s debut release in 1998. However, a number of viewers still managed to watch the original version on pirated copies, with nude scenes immediately becoming the talk of the town.
The opening night of Titanic 3D, played on 2,500 screens across the country, reportedly fetched $11 million for 20th Century Fox. But many moviegoers felt deceived for the second time as soon as they realized they were offered a censored version.
